Sacramento Fashion Week Gives Designers A Stage

Over the last 4 years, Sacramento’s local fashion scene has blossomed into a full blow industry with models, designers and make-up artists. Nobody’s made serious money at it yet, but as any art-based industry, it’s all about passion, not profits.

Last weekend’s local Fashion Week proved that local designers have come a long way in just a few years. Just two years ago, local designer Richard Hallmarq was invited and participated in San Francisco Fashion week where his line received a standing ovation. And while he was not at this year’s local event, those who did show their collections were well received by attendees.

As summer approaches, you can be sure to hear about more fashion shows, many raising money and awareness for good causes such as the recent W.E.A.V.E show willWin Tickets to see The Rolling Stones emerge as the weather heats up. Outdoor venues and hot weather mix well with fashion and music.
