The story broke last week when executives at Cal Expo and the NBA agreed to move forward with plans to develop an arena for the Sacramento King’s at the State’s fairgrounds. The preliminary agreement is the first step towards moving The King’s out of the old ARCO and into a new Cal Expo. There are more than a few major areas of concern from parking to harness racing, which may have to go altogether. To date, no talks of taxpayers funding the move have risen, helping keep the public support high on this proposal. So much for Vegas.
